Xiaomi Launches Refillable Ink-Tank Printer

On March 7th, Xiaomi, a Chinese designer and manufacturer of smartphones and consumer electronic goods, introduced a continuous-supply, refillable ink-tank printer, the Xiaomi Mijia color inkjet All-in-One. According to Xiaomi, cost per page is one cent per page, and the new model, which is available in the Chinese market, provides print, copy, and scan.

According to the firm, the Mijia’s ink set yields up to 9,500 color pages.

Other features include:

  • Uses four ink bottles containing pigment-based inks.
  • Warning lights indicate when ink is low. 
  • 1,600 dpi resolution inkjet print head, and ink droplet size of 4 picoliters. The print head features an intelligent cleaning system.
  • Supports USB direct printing, Xiaomi Fun Connect technology, one-step network configuration through the Mijia App, and is compatible with Android, Apple iOS, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Apple macOS system wireless connection, and supports WeChat applet remote printing.

The new model is available on Xiaomi’s e-commerce platforms, and is priced at $189.58.

Xiaomi launched its first inkjet printer in 2020.
