New Workflow Central Capabilities Harness AI
Xerox also updated its Xerox Workflow Central platform that provides various document workflow solutions, such as converting digital text into audio; translation from one language to another, summarize documents, etc., and which is designed for use with Xerox MFPs equipped with the ConnectKey platform.
New Workflow Central capabilities include:
- Workflow Automation: enables users to create their own custom workflows to streamline everyday tasks based on conditional formatting that runs in the background when those conditions are met (for instance, “just like if this, then that”).
- Adds a protective “wrapper” around shared documents to track, restrict, and even allows deletion when forwarded on to others.
- Send Fax provides cloud-based send fax.
- Convert image-only PDFs to archival and text searchable formats.
Xerox also introduced its new Intelligent Filer app, which is available now. This new ConnectKey app is designed to make it easier and faster for users to locate stored digital documents.
This scanning app uses artificial intelligence to provide automatic categorization, an standardized naming structures, and also suggests filing locations – all designed to enables users to easily find filed documents in the right location with the right name.
Enhancements to Xerox Managed Print Services (MPS)
Also new are several enhancements to Xerox Managed Print Services (MPS), which are available now.
Xerox MPS now includes Cloud Fleet Management cloud-native print-fleet maintenance and supplies management, and adds automated print-driver deployment for any brand of printer.
Also new for Xerox MPS is Security Event Monitoring, which provides real-time device monitoring. This service collects device activity, detecting suspicious threats early, all of which administrators can view in the solution’s dashboard.
These latest enhancements are said to be powered by the Xerox Workplace Cloud software platform that eliminates the need for onsite print servers and related costs, and provides a zero-footprint solution for clients of any size.
The Security Event Monitoring Service and Xerox Cloud Fleet Management are now available in all regions.
