Visual Edge Technology Acquires Zymphony Technology Solutions, ZANCO, Fastforward
Visual Edge Technology of North Canton, Ohio, has acquired Zymphony Technology Solutions, a provider of managed IT solutions, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and hosted IT solutions, for an undisclosed sum. Visual Edge says the Zymphony acquisition “plays well into Visual Edge’s national managed IT services strategy and their goal to be one of the largest U.S.-based independent providers of total office solutions.” Visual Edge Technology also acquired JANCO and FastForward Digital Solutions (see below).
Headquartered in Tampa Florida, with two additional locations in Orlando and Sarasota, Zymphony specializes in managing IT infrastructure and providing end-to-end business solutions that incorporate cloud computing, PC/Mac support, server and network monitoring, managed security services, and business-optimization software.
Robert Atherton, president of Zymphony stated, “In today’s competitive office services landscape, partnering with a team that allows us to offer our solutions to a captive market is critical. We are excited to extend Visual Edge’s Netwise Managed IT brand into the greater Florida marketplace.”
Last April, Visual Edge acquired Netwise Resources, a leading Midwest-managed IT services provider. Visual Edge has spent the past year developing their Netwise/Visual Edge ‘IT in a Box’ managed IT brand.
Atherton and his current management team will continue in their current roles, and operations will remain in Tampa, Orlando, and Sarasota, both in Florida. With the Netwise/Zymphony team, Visual Edge will also expand its IT services into the greater southeast-U.S. marketplace. Tom Frederick, the former owner of Zymphony, will join Visual Edge as a consultant.
Visual Edge Chairman and CEO Austin Vanchieri released the following statement: “Zymphony is made up of excellent quality, dedicated, dynamic professionals. Zymphony’s Managed IT solutions will complement our strategy of being a total office solutions provider in the Florida marketplace.”
Founded in 2003, Zymphony Technology Solutions is said to be a premier provider of business technology solutions and managed IT services for small and mid-size businesses to Fortune 500 organizations. Zymphony helps companies manage their entire IT infrastructure and IT staffing more efficiently.
JANCO and FastForward Digital Solutions
Also in February, Visual Edge Technology acquired JANCO, an office equipment provider and said to be one of Xerox’s top strategic independent partners, for an undisclosed sum. JANCO will join its sales and support forces with neighboring dealer, American Copy Service (ACS), also a Visual Edge company. Both organizations will continue under the leadership of Visual Edge-owned Axion Business Technologies.
JANCO is said to bring significant value to the ACS partnership, as Xerox’s first and only Platinum Document Technology Partner in Connecticut to sell, install, and service Xerox equipment in schools, municipalities, and non-profit organizations statewide.
“Xerox remains an incredible brand. The organic growth potential for JANCO is unlimited in the years ahead. Having Xerox’s brand recognition in our offering will open doors for our sales forces that may not have otherwise been an option,” says Robert Ferland, President of Axion Business Technologies, “We are very excited to bring them into the fold.”
Visual Edge Technology also acquired FastForward Digital Solutions for an undisclosed sum. The firm says that acquisition supports Visual Edge’s continued strategy to expand in the managed IT services (MITS) space. FastForward will remain in operation and “now play a pivotal role in supporting fellow Visual Edge-owned WBS Technologies’ growing MITS business in South Florida.”
FastForward is the third MITS acquisition within the Visual Edge strategy and its acquisition is designed to strengthen Visual Edge’s quest to be the largest U.S.-based independent total office solutions provider.
Visual Edge Technology incorporates a strategy of operating through established dealerships across the United States and is focused on providing a broad line of office technologies, including the sale and service of copier/MFPs, wide-format printing solutions, managed print services, document-management software, network-management services, Square9, and IT solutions. Visual Edge sells products supplied by Microsoft, Cisco, Brocade, Konica Minolta, Canon, Kyocera, XEROX, Ricoh, Sharp, Toshiba, Samsung, Lexmark, HP Inc., Okidata, and Muratec. It says its acquisition strategy will continue to identify successful companies that focus on creating quality solutions in response to complex challenges.
