Tungsten’s TotalAgility 8.1 Said to Provide Faster AI Agent Development, Smarter Automation
On November 12th, Tungsten Automation (previously known as Kofax), and a provider of Intelligent Automation (IA) document-processing solutions and business workflows, released its next-generation of TotalAgility, version 8.1.
The company says that this latest platform update accelerates creation of intelligent processes and AI agents to autonomously gather information, make decisions, and execute tasks, reducing manual effort and helping organizations with their digital transformation (DX) goals, moving from paper-based workflows to more efficient electronic ones
Create Intelligent Business Processes Faster than Ever
Building on its Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Business Process Management (BPM), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Decision Management, Tungsten says TotalAgility 8.1 enables organizations to create intelligent processes and AI agents faster than ever.
With generative AI and low-code/no-code development options, the company says organizations can configure and deploy AI-powered workflows for the most complex paper-based and electronic processes with unprecedented agility. And, for long-standing customers using earlier-generation capture and transformation solutions, TotalAgility 8.1 offers a streamlined path to upgrade.
According to Shawn Morrison of Nimble Information Systems: “The platform’s new IDP and gen AI capabilities enable us to instantly pull relevant information from documents using simple plain text commands, significantly reducing the time, effort, and resources required for processing.”
TotalAgility 8.1: Key Capabilities
Optimize Intelligent Processes and AI Agent Creation
TotalAgility 8.1 is said to optimize the creation of intelligent processes and AI agents by seamlessly integrating IDP, BPM, RPA, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Knowledge Bases, and Decision Management capabilities. It’s said to enable businesses to rapidly build AI-powered automations for customer service, onboarding, sales order processing, and more.
Tungsten Copilot and Generative AI Enhancements
TotalAgility 8.1 is said to significantly enhances Tungsten Copilot’s search and retrieval capabilities introduced earlier this year, further incorporating conversational AI to drive innovation across the platform.
Users can now create and customize insights dashboards using natural language prompts to visualize key performance indicators in real-time, enabling users to make data-driven decisions without needing deep analytics expertise.
The platform now also offers enhanced generative AI capabilities for defining decision tables, lookup lists, and custom services using either example images or conversational prompts.
Accelerating Data Extraction with Advanced Intelligent Document Processing
TotalAgility 8.1 elevates its IDP and data extraction capabilities, providing improved accuracy while reducing the time required to develop and deploy data extraction models using plain text queries.
Advanced optical character recognition (OCR) technology is also said to improve document processing accuracy, and Tungsten says users are already benefiting from an 80 percent reduction in development time. The expanded Tungsten Document Library now also includes additional pre-trained extraction models for Know Your Customer (KYC) documents, logistics forms, and more, minimizing setup time and effort to process a wide range of document types.
Capabilities for a Wide Range of Industries
TotalAgility 8.1 is said to offer comprehensive intelligent automation tools for a wide range of industries. These industries include financial services, insurance, supply chains, and the public sector.
The goal is to enable organizations both large and small to accelerate their digital transformation and increase efficiency with smarter workflows for processes such as onboarding, claims processing, and contract management.
The platform is available in both public and private cloud environments, either directly or through Tungsten’s partner network.
