Static Control Acquires Ink Technologies

Static Control reported on April 21st that it’s acquired Ink Technologies Corporation of Cleveland, Ohio, for an undisclosed sum. All ink formulations formerly produced by Ink Technologies will now be manufactured at Static Control’s North Carolina headquarters.

In May 2015, China-based Apex Microelectronics acquired a controlling share in Static Control for some $63 million.

“This acquisition will allow Static Control to continue to expand our already extensive product offering to the imaging aftermarket,” said Anthony Causey, Static Control’s vice president of product management. “Ink Technologies has had a long history of providing excellent quality inks, and we look forward to continuing that tradition at Static Control.”

Static Control customers will have the opportunity to purchase new ink products within a matter of months, according to Causey. “Ink Technologies customers can expect the same high quality product, now paired with Static Control’s award-winning customer service and technical support.”

Production and manufacturing of all of Ink Technologies Corporation’s formulations will be moved to Sanford, North Carolina.
