Sharp Offers PC and Printer Bundles with Security Monitoring for Home Workers

We’ve noted previously that giving home workers $500 to buy a printer and leave it at that is generally a bad idea, with lack of security being a key reason why. Secondly, leaving employees to purchase ink and toner on their own can mean that they pay significantly more for them than if the employer negotiates pricing, and employees can also be spending lots of time locating and purchasing supplies.

To date, both HP Inc. and Xerox have introduced PC and printer bundles with security and supplies replenishment. Now Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America is also offering its own printer and PC bundles for home workers.

The firm notes that as more and more offices move to hybrid environments that combine working from home and working in the office, it’s never been more critical to put secure hardware and network solutions into place.

Sharp, along with local participating Sharp dealer or branch representative, have designed three office technology bundles that are said to make it easy for IT  and office managers to equip hybrid workers. The company says the bundles can be customized and provisioned to help meet each company’s security policies. They include Sharp desktop A4 printers and Sharp Dynabrook laptop PCs – courtesy of Sharp Corporation of Toshiba’s laptop PC business in 2018.

For security and monitoring, Sharp will provide Linksys AC1200 Dual Band Wireless Access Point with remote cloud configuration and management. Sharp includes endpoint security services that helps protect against virus and malware attacks. Cost is $27 per month per person for security and monitoring.

Three configurations are available:
