January 6, 2015 – Calling it “the world’s fastest cut-sheet digital duplicator,” RISO is announcing the U.S. release of its new SE9480 Digital Duplicator, which it rates at up to 185 ppm.

The RISO SE9480 digital duplicator is engineered for use in a wide range of printing environments, such as corporate, manufacturing and education for high-volume printing. As RISO notes, digital duplicators can be more efficient than many toner-based systems for larger print runs. With digital duplicators, the larger the print job, the lower the overall cost per print.  The SE9480 is also Energy Star-compliant. RISO says the system uses 95 percent less power than a toner-based system – it uses a maximum of 400 watts during operation, which is about what many desktop laser printers and All-in-Ones consume.

The SE9480 scans and prints at true 600 dpi. RISO says new technology ensures clean, uniform imaging of solid areas and fine text, even at high printing speeds. Optional color cylinders are also available, including optional metallic colors such as gold. Maximum paper size is 12 19/32″ x 17″. Operators can use the optional “Letter Cylinder” to print popular sizes more efficiently.

The SE9480 incorporates a control panel with touchscreen that provides review and point-of-printing editing of documents. Multiple image modes are also provided, as well as an ink-saving mode that reduces ink consumption by 20 percent. Prints may be produced from an orignal hardcopy, digital files, and files downloaded from a USB memory drive via the USB convenience port. Options include a 50-sheet automatic document feeder, 50-sheet duplexing automatic document feeder, card-feed unit, and RISO IS3000 controller, which provides Adobe PostScript 3 compatibility.

The RISO SE9480 is now available from RISO and its sales channel network worldwide. For more information and complete specifications, visit RISO here.
