Reliability
Replacing the four separate ink cartridges is very easy, and even new users should be able to quickly and easily replace ink cartridges. Simply press on the depleted ink cartridge to pop it out, slide the new ink cartridge into its color-coded non-keyed slot, and then press it to latch it into place. High-yield Epson 788 XXL cartridges are available, with each black, cyan, yellow, and magenta cartridge yielding up to 4,000 pages, so that they’ll have to be replaced less often.
Cost per Page and Total Cost of Ownership
At 1.6¢ and 7.2¢ respectively (using Epson 788 XXL high-yield ink cartridges) black and color Cost per Page is highly competitive with that of other inkjet All-in-Ones, and far lower than that of any non-production color laser All-in-Ones or MFPs. In fact, at virtually all monthly print volumes, monthly supply costs for both black and color output are nearly half that of a typical, desktop color laser All-in-One, as is Total Cost of Ownership (see charts in report), making the WorkForce Pro WF-5690 exceptionally economic to operate. Energy consumption at a maximum of 22 watts is also considerably less than that of color laser All-in-Ones, which typically consume 400-500 watts of power during operation.

Hi, did you test the print at the highest print quality? If not, could you do so?
Yes, Since we experienced banding anomalies when printing photos and graphics with default settings, we were forced to test the higher quality settings with all three print drivers (yes we cleaned and aligned the print heads several times and even tried a second printer). We found that if you experience banding using default settings that using the highest print quality settings will eliminate it. However, when we tried to print a full-page photo in PostScript at the highest setting, there was printer insufficient memory to do so. Thankfully, this wasn’t the case with the ESC/P-2 or PCL print drivers.
