Kelley Imaging Systems of Kent, Washington, announced that it’s acquired Midland Office Equipment of in Billings, Montana, for an undisclosed sum. Kelley is said to be one of the largest privately owned office technology companies in the Pacific Northwest, with 20 offices in the states of Washington, Montana, and Oregon, and sells printers and copier/MFPs from Xerox, Toshiba, HP Inc., Lexmark, Kyocera, Brother, OKI, Muratec, Konica Minolta, and Fujitsu, as well as shipping and mailing solutions from Pitney Bowes, and Formax mailing and finishing solutions.
Kelley says acquisition of Midland, which provides managed print services and is a Sharp dealer, gives it better statewide coverage of Montana to better serve existing and new customers. Kelley Imaging offers a host of office and business automation products including copiers, wide-format plotters, managed IT services, managed print services, and document-management solutions.
Servicing business customers since 1971, Billings-based Midland Office Equipment is said to have wanted to leverage the resources and service of a firm with a larger footprint and more solutions to better serve Montana business owners.
Former owner of Midland Office Equipment Mark Koerber commented: “We’re looking forward to working alongside Kelley Imaging here in Billings. Kelley has a very knowledgeable and professional team that brings lots of new technologies to Montana business owners.”
CORE Business Services Merger
Last month, Kelley and CORE Business Services, a managed service provider based in Oregon, also announced a strategic merger.
For over 10 years, CORE is said to have provided tailor-made technology solutions to businesses of all sizes.
According to Kelley, merging the two companies together will help them expand into the untapped markets in Oregon and Montana while providing their customers with additional IT services, along with the ability for CORE to bring many of the Kelley Imaging solutions to their clients and provide a single technology partner option for both customer bases. CORE is also said to give Kelley Imaging a platform to expand its IT Services business throughout the Pacific Northwest. Kelley Imaging and CORE’s IT delivery teams are expected to grow and will join forces, creating a 35-member employee team.
Preceding this merger, Kelley announced its acquisition of ABC Office Machines located in Grants Pass, Oregon, for an undisclosed sum.
