New Sharp MFPs/Printers Said to be First of Many New Upcoming A4 Models

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America today launched new A4 laser models that it says provide professional quality output in a small footprint, and are the first of upcoming new models that it will launch in the next 12 months.

This first group of new A4 solutions from Sharp includes the MX-C428F and MX-C528F color multifunction printers, and the MX-C528P standalone color printer.

The MX-C428F and MX-C528F color MFPs, as well as the MX-C528P color printer, feature Sharp touchscreens that measure 7″ diagonal, 10″ diagonal and 4.3″ diagonal, respectively. The touchscreens feature vibrating capacitive technology, and can be customized.

The MX-C428F MFP is rated at up to 42 ppm, and the MX-C528F at up to 52 pages ppm. Both MFPs provide standard dual single-pass scanning. The MX-C528P color printer is rated at up to 52 pages per minute.

Security – Sharp says the new models feature the latest security technology to keep information safe. Customers can further enhance security with the optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM), which provides user authentication, system integrity checks, and cryptographic capabilities, the last of which create a unique digital system fingerprint.

Optional document workflows  – Using optional add-on apps, users can customize their experience for various document workflows. For instance, users can print and scan documents stored in cloud storage applications using the optional Cloud Connector app, which is compatible with Microsoft OneDrive and Sharepoint Online, Google Drive, Box, and Dropbox.

MX-C428F – Rated at up to 42 ppm (black and color), with standard print, copy, scan, and fax, and 100-sheet duplexing single-pass document feeder. Maximum scan speed is up to 84 ipm, maximum paper capacity is 2,850 sheets, and there’s a 7″ touchscreen. Visit Sharp here for more information and complete specifications.

The MX-C428F color MFP is available to order and ship immediately. The MX-C528F color MFP and MX-C528P color printer will be available for shipment within the next few months.

Shane Coffey, vice president of Product Management at Sharp, commented: “We have seen a lot of changes in the print industry over the past few years, one of which has been the growing demand for A4 devices in environments that have traditionally used ledger-sized print devices.
