New Kyocera A4 Color and Monochrome Printers, Copier/MFPs
On June 20th, KYOCERA Document Solutions America introduced three new series of A4 color and monochrome MFPs and printers developed for small to mid-size businesses with document-intensive applications. The new models are said to feature eco-friendliness, fast print speeds, and expandable paper capacities, all in a compact footprint, and are available through authorized Kyocera dealers:
- ECOSYS M6635cidn Series
- ECOSYS M6635cidn, ECOSYS M6235cidn, ECOSYS M6630cidn
- ECOSYS P7240cdn Series
- ECOSYS P7240cdn, ECOSYS P6235cdn, ECOSYS P6230cdn
- ECOSYS M3645idn Series
- ECOSYS M3645idn, ECOSYS M3145idn
Eco-Friendliness
Each of these new models is in full compliance with the new, enhanced standards of ENERGY STAR 3.0. “We wanted to offer customers devices that meet both the needs of their business and the needs of the environment,” said Douglas Cole, Director, product marketing for KYOCERA Document Solutions America.
These ECOSYS MFPs and printers are said to reduce both costs and environmental impact through the use of long-life consumables, and their ability to shift to sleep mode automatically. According to Cole, “Low-power sleep mode is an extremely effective way to reduce consumption, especially because many devices are left on indefinitely.”
KYOCERA Fleet Services
All of new models support KYOCERA Fleet Services (KFS), a remote monitoring system that provides a window into current device status, including current toner levels, and also provides detailed analytics reports. Kyocera says dealers can perform many services without going on-site, including firmware updates, error-code resets, real-time diagnostics, and more. Combined with Kyocera’s one print driver approach to fleet administration, KFS is said to reduce the amount of time IT departments spend on MFP and printer issues.
The ECOSYS M6635cidn MFP Series
Featuring print, copy, scan, and fax (the ECOSYS M6235cidn is a non fax model), the A4 ECOSYS M6635cidn Series of color MFPs feature true 1,200 x 1,200 dpi resolution (at reduced print speed), 7” color touch-screen, and optional wireless and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity capabilities. The series is HyPAS-enabled so that it can run select Kyocera Business Applications, as well as mobile print and scan via KYOCERA Mobile Print, Google Cloud Print, and Mopria.
Kyocera says that what makes the ECOSYS M6635cidn and ECOSYS M6235cidn especially useful for document-heavy environments is a 100-sheet Dual Scan Document Processor (DSDP), which allows double-sided documents to be scanned in a single pass, significantly reducing time spent on large projects.
