New Konica Minolta Accurio C3080 Series, C3070L with Two-Sided Banner Printing

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. reported today that it’s introducing its latest-generation AccurioPress color digital press, copier and scanner: the C3080 Series, which includes the C3080, C3080P, and C3070. Also part of the launch is the AccurioPrint C3070L.

The systems’ predecessors – the AccurioPress C2070, C2060 and AccurioPrint C2060L – will no longer available.

Konica Minolta says its new C3080 color production press is “a unique, groundbreaking offering that is unmatched in its scope of capabilities.” It features:

• 864,000-sheet monthly duty cycle.
• Two-sided banner printing for producing six-page tri-folds, brochures, book jackets, pocket folders, and more, all of which Konica Minolta says that previously, only an offset press had such flexibility.
• Accepts paper sizes up to 13” x 19.2” and weights up to 350 gsm, with envelope printing at rated speed.
• Duplex banner printing with a banner tray that holds 1,000 banner sheets of up to 30” and simplex banner printing up to 51”.
• High-speed dual scanning at speeds up to 240 ipm for hard-copy originals
• 1,200 x 1,200 dpi resolution with 8-bit processing for smoother, more realistic images
• Enhanced Konica Minolta Simitri HDE toner for superior halftone and skin-tone reproduction, with biomass plant-based material to reduce environmental impact.
• SEAD V Screen-Enhancing Active Digital Processing System continuously maintains image stability.
• Print speeds up to 80 ppm.
• Real-time automated image-quality adjustments.
• Simple setup procedures.
• Ultra-reliable paper path.
• Energy Star-compliant.
• Enhanced Open API and IWS applications support.
• Choice of production print controllers including controllers from Konica Minolta, EFI (Fiery controllers), and Creo.

Document-finishing options include full-bleed, saddle-stitched books and perfect-bound books, as well as hole-punching, stapling, and stacking. The C3080 uses the IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Optimizer technology for color consistency and registration accuracy. With automated image registration and color control, Konica Minolta says the IQ-501 is a closed-loop system that constantly monitors and adjusts printed output, and can automate color calibration and profiling.
