New Epson “Small-in-One” Color Ink-Jet Lists at $99.99
As part of its fall product refresh, Epson America is introducing the Stylus NX430 “Small-in-One,” a color ink-jet All-in-One that weighs in at just 9.0 lbs., and measures 15.4” wide x 11.8” deep x 5.7” high, and is for small and home offices. It features print, copy, scan, Wi-Fi wireless connectivity, touch panel with 2.5” color LCD, and the company’s new Epson Connect mobile-print solution. Copy and scan is via a flatbed platen (no automatic document feeder).
Epson Connect consists of two mobile-print solutions – Email Print and Epson iPrint. Email Print enables users to print e-mail and file attachments by sending an e-mail from their smartphone or other mobile device to an enabled Epson printer. The Epson iPrint application for the latest Apple iOS and Android-based devices enables users to print photos, documents and Web pages to a Wi-Fi-enabled Epson printer, and requires downloading the Epson iPrint application. Connectivity also includes a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port and memory-card slots. Epson rates the NX430 at ISO 6.2 (black)/3.2 (color) ppm. There’s borderless printing of 4”x6” photos, and full-color copying. Photo-enhancement tools include adjust over- and under-exposed photos, red-eye removal and more.
Epson is also focusing on the NX430’s eco-friendly features, including compliance with Energy Star and RoHS standards, and states that NX430’s design is 39 percent smaller than previous models, which translates into 25 percent less packaging and lower energy consumption associated with shipping.
