New Additions to Kodak Alaris IN2 Ecosystem Include New Doc Scanners, Software, Managed Content Services

Kodak Alaris today announced that it’s expanded its “IN2 Ecosystem” with new document scanners, software, and services. New hardware solutions include the Alaris S2000 Series document scanners that feature embedded document-image processing within the scanner for clearer images without requiring a high-powered host PC. The scanners also feature active-feed technology that aligns the leading edge of paper to avoid multi-feeds and misfeeds.

The S2000 Series includes two USB-connected models, the Alaris S2050 and S2070, and two networked/wireless-connected models, the Alaris S2060w and S2080w, that are rated at up to 50 and 80 ppm. Three optional flatbed accessories can be integrated with the scanners.

The S2050 is rated for scanning up to 5,000 pages per day, while the S2070 is rated for scanning up to 7,000 pages per day. For more information and complete specifications, visit Kodak Alaris here.

The new generation of software from Kodak Alaris is said to provide flexible batch-capture for a wide range of industries and vertical markets, and is said to be particularly effective for BPOs and centralized mailrooms. Alaris Capture Pro Software v5.5 is a dedicated workstation-based information-capture solution that’s said to provide security and reliability without depending on Internet connectivity for scanning and processing. It delivers information to databases and applications, including enterprise content management (ECM) systems and Microsoft SharePoint Online (Office 365).

The Alaris Info Input Solution and Info Input Express are Web-based and mobile-capture applications that are designed for workers who regularly scan across departments and enterprises. Info Input Solution and Express enable information capture from document scanners, smart devices (via mobile app), and digital files (including email) from one application. Info Input Express Limited Edition is bundled with every S2000 Series Scanner.

In addition to Repair and Maintenance Services to optimize uptime and Professional Services to provide advice, subject-matter expertise, the IN2 ecosystem now also provides Alaris Managed Content Services (MCS) in select regions.
