Marco Acquires ETC ComputerLand

On October 15th, Marco reported that it had purchased ETC ComputerLand, a business IT services company that’s  headquartered in Quincy, Illinois, for an undisclosed sum.

ETC ComputerLand has been providing its clients with technology solutions since 1997. Many of its employees have joined the Marco team and will be serving clients from their current location in Quincy. Marco also has offices in Peoria, Peru and Rockford, Illinois as well as Missouri offices including Jefferson City, Columbia, St. Louis and more.

This is Marco’s second acquisition in Illinois this year. In July, the company purchased Ticomix, an IT services company located in Rockford.

“This purchase allows us to further expand Marco’s well-established IT service offerings and technical expertise throughout the state of Illinois,” said Jeff Gau, Marco CEO. “We welcome ETC ComputerLand’s clients to Marco and look forward to being their technology provider.”

Marco has over 1,200 employees and serves more than 32,000 customers from its 54 locations throughout the Midwest and nationally.

Eric and Kathryn Thomas will continue to operate Media Development and Vervocity Interactive and look forward to focusing on the marketing and programming services they can offer their clients.
