Kyocera Expands KIP Wide-Format Printer Line
Kyocera Document Solutions America today launched the KIP 600 Series of Color Wide Format print systems, the KIP 660 and KIP 650, which are available through authorized Kyocera dealers and resellers.
Kyocera is introducing the two new wide-format printers in partnership with KIP, a global supplier of digital printing and scanning solutions for color and monochrome wide-format documents.
KIP wide-format print systems are said to be a complete solution for any organization requiring the need to copy, print, or scan large-size documents, including technical drawings, floor plans, renderings, maps, and more.
The KIP 660 and KIP 650 feature a new space-saving design, occupying 25-percent less space. They produce D/A1 size prints per hour in full color, black-and-white, or in mixed sets. Both systems have two media rolls and top/front image stacking, and a 12” Smart System K touchscreen. The KIP 660 comes standard with a color scanner.
Energy-Saving Technology
Both new models use the KIP 600 Series KIP Contact Control Technology. This technology is said to enable exact control for placement of toner particles through direct contact at every stage of image development, helping to ensure the highest level of accuracy and precision quality in the production of every color or black-and-white image.
The KIP 600 Series are also said to be energy efficient with reduced emissions and the ability to recycle exhausted supply containers, helping to provide a lower total cost of ownership. They’re also are ozone free.
KIP ImagePro
All KIP print systems use a single software solution, KIP ImagePro, which is designed to simplify every stage of the color and black-and-white wide-format print workflow. KIP ImagePro provides job creation, image capture, and reproduction for print-intensive environments.
According to Franchesca Balbuena-Fullman, product and research marketing manager for Kyocera: “With this launch, we now have a full line of production wide-format devices available on the market today.”
