Kyocera Discusses New Products, eCommerce Initiative, Backlog, at Dealer Conference

Kyocera Document Solutions America reports that its in-person dealer conference held last month in San Antonio, Texas, brought together over 850 attendees from 225 dealers, as well as various vendor partners.

At the conference, whose theme was Reimagine, Kyocera gave previews of upcoming product launches, stating that it will launch some 22 new devices.

Kyocera Document Solutions America President and CEO Óscar Sánchez also stated that Kyocera Corporation is financially stronger than its competitors, and its document-imaging products are as good as, if not better, than competitors.

The firm announced a new Dealer Engagement Program targeted at improving communication, speed, and agility in how Kyocera works with its partners.

It also announced a new Exchange Warranty program and a new approach to inter-territorial sales with an Inter-Territorial Network, with the aim of making Kyocera “the easiest company to do business with.”

New eCommerce Platform

The company will also provide support for dealers to launch a new  eCommerce platform.

Vice President of Corporate Marketing, José Estébanez stated that Kyocera’s “intention is to help everyone to respond to a growing market demand and we will be sharing our expertise and tools” to exploit opportunities in eCommerce and subscription services.

Matt Charlson, president and CEO of DataBank, a Kyocera Group company, also gave a preview of the DataBank Cloud which will provide foundations for Kyocera’s content technology “for years to come.”

Equipment-Order Backlog

According to CEO Sanchez, by the end of this summer, Kyocera A3 MFP availability should improve, while A4 MFP constraints should ease by the end of the year. The company currently has a $53 million order backlog.
