Hands-On Test Report, Photos, and Video: Epson’s WorkForce WF-7610 ‘True’ Large-Format All-in-One

Recommendations
The Epson WorkForce WF-7610 is one of the few “true” A3/11″x17″ inkjet AiOs in existence, and the only A3+ inkjet AiO currently on the market, and its cost of acquisition is remarkable affordable. While its performance was exemplary, its Cost per Page and Total Cost of Ownership are on the high side, particularly when compared to that of other A4 inkjet AiOs from Epson and some others.  Additionally, as with most AiOs in this class, it offers no customizable apps, or scan to e-mail servers or network folders, and isn’t intended for complex workflows. Moreover, as it offers no user authentication or print-job tracking, it’s not designed for fleet or device management.

That said: 1) the WorkForce WF-7610 can serve as an excellent secondary device to more economical A4 printers for use by micro- and small-workgroups in offices and companies; 2) it can serve as a very-low volume A3+ device for commercial purposes; and 3) can serve as the only printer in homes and in micro- and small workgroups in offices and companies, as long as customers are willing to set printing defaults to black-and-white and use the high-yield 254XL and 252XL ink cartridges.

Overall, in spite of marginally high running costs, the versatility provided by the WorkForce WF-7610s “true” A3/11″x17″ capabilities will appeal to customers who value this functionality, and they will not be disappointed.
