Open the front cover for misfeed-access and servicing of the ink cartridges.
Misfeed-access from the ADF and front and rear of the unit is very good, as there is plenty of space provided to search for and remove misfeeds. That said, we did not experience any misfeeds during testing.
The media tray can be expanded to hold media as large as 8.5″x14″. A hinged cover (not shown) prevents debris from contaminating the media path.
Loading and servicing media in both trays was very easy, and media sizes and orientation were prominently embossed into the bottom of the sturdy tray. The rear-mounted tray has a hinged cover to prevent debris from falling into the media path, and a retractable media support.
A retractable media support tray is provided.
A “Maintenance Box” ($14.99) must be periodically changed. Its page yield is dependent on the type of usage.
