Fujifilm Launches New Revoria Five- and Four-Color Production Presses
Fujifilm Business Innovation of Japan today launched four new mid-range Revoria Press production presses for global distribution, with worldwide sales set for January 2025.
The new Revoria Press EC2100S and Revoria Press SC285S presses are equipped with a specialty toner station in addition to four color toners, enabling five-color printing in one pass. The new Revoria Press EC2100 and Revoria Press SC285 are four-color presses.
The Revoria Press EC2100S and Revoria Press EC2100 print at up to 100 ppm and are for commercial printing and quick printing applications. The Revoria Press SC285S and Revoria Press SC285 are rated at up to 85 ppm and are for quick printing and in-house printing. All four models are said to have a compact size made possible through Fujifilm’s newly developed Vertical Toner Development Technology.
The presses can handle an expansive range of paper weights, from lightweight 52 gsm to heavyweight 400 gsm, and paper sizes from a minimum of 90 x 146 mm up to 330 x 1300 mm, without reduction in print speed.
They’re also equipped with a new feature, Smart Monitoring Gate, which detects color variation and front-to-back misalignment during printing, enabling automatic correction in real time to maintain high print quality.
To generate high-quality images and smooth workflows, there will be two choices of Revoria Flow and Fiery print servers available. All models feature a LED-based print head.
Other features include:
Five-Color Print Engine
With the Revoria Press EC2100S and SC285S, one specialty toner can be used in addition to the cyan, magenta, yellow, and black toners. Special color toners include Clear, Pink, Custom Red, Gold, Silver and White. A variety of metallic colors can be created by mixing the Gold and Silver toners with CMYK toners.
Image data is automatically divided into five colors by the Revoria Flow and Fiery print servers.
Users can preview colors with the preview function, and can change color toners in about 10 minutes.
All four models also feature:
- A compact belt roll fuser for high-quality printing on textured paper.
- An Air Suction Feeder that ensures reliable feeding of coated paper, which tends to stick to the paper.
- The Static Eliminator D1, which removes static electricity from film paper and other static-sensitive printing paper, enabling reduction of adhesion between sheets of paper for work efficiency.
- Printing on envelopes, water-resistant paper, and cardboard for packaging.
- The Print Inspection System, which inspects printed materials automatically and in real time to detect printing defects such as dots, stains, pinholes, streaks, and paper folds. The system inspects readability of characters and barcodes, numbering information continuity and front/back characters and numbering continuity.
Print-Server Compatibility
The Revoria Press EC2100S and EC2100 are compatible with the optional Revoria Flow and Fiery EC21 and EC22 print servers. The Revoria Press SC285S and SC285 are compatible with the optional Revoria Flow and Fiery SC21 and SC22C print servers.
