Fujifilm Business Innovation Expands Office-Printer Business into India
Fujifilm India announced today that it’s expanding its office printer/MFP business into India, with the company launching its A3 Apeos MFP series for the first time in India. The printers are developed by Fujifilm Business Innovation, and sales begin today.
Fujifilm India will be selling these A3 color MFPs: the Apeos C3060, C2560, and C2060, and these A3 monochrome MFPs: the Apeos 3560, 3060, and 2560. Sales and service will be provided by Fujifilm India through the company’s channel partners across India.
The Fujifilm MFPs are equipped with standard single-pass duplex document feeder, searchable OCR (optical character recognition) software, and NFC connectivity (Near Field Communication as a short-range wireless technologies).
“With India’s rising economy and its attractive location for all industries, we are excited to enter this market through Fujifilm India and provide our years of expertise in enabling digital transformation to all businesses in India,” commented Masatsugu Naito, president of Fujifilm Business Innovation Asia Pacific.
According to Koji Wada, managing director of Fujifilm India, the expansion into India is a significant milestone for Fujifilm India, which was created in 2007. “We have always strived to bring the best global product and solutions of Fujifilm to India because we saw the vast opportunities in this vibrant country of 1.42 billion people. This new business introduction is a testimony of the confidence that the Fujifilm Group has in India.”
Priyatosh Kumar, head of Graphic Arts Communication for Fujifilm India said that in India, Fujifilm has a strong portfolio of products, with the expansion of A3 and A4 office printers/MFPs an extension of that business.
Main features of the Apeos C3060, C2560, C2060, and Apeos 3560, 3060, 2560 include:
- High-resolution printing of 1,200 x 2,400 dpi for the Apeos C3060, C2560, C2060 (1,200 x 1,200 dpi for the Apeos 3560, 3060,2560), combined with the image enhancement, and auto-correction technology for fine color registration for the Apeos C3060, C2560, C2060.
- Scanning includes searchable OCR software, automatic orientation, correcting of skewed pages, and removing blank pages.
- Security functions that protect data against malicious hacking, and strong encryption for stored or transferring data and to prevent unauthorized access.
