Fujifilm Announces New Revoria Color Presses Now Available for Global Distribution
Fujifilm Business Innovation today announced that its newest production color presses, the Revoria Press EC1100 and Revoria Press SC180/SC170, will be available for global markets.
The new presses will be available in stages globally, beginning today, following Fujifim’s launch of these models in the Asia-Pacific region in April. Fujifilm says the new digital presses provide professional printing solutions for the printing industry and in-house printing, delivering superior productivity with high image quality.
The Revoria Press EC1100 mainly targets both commercial printing and quick printing, and is rated at up to 100 ppm, while the Revoria Press SC180/SC170 is targeted for quick printing and in-house printing, and is rated at up to 80 (black)/70 (color) ppm.
The three new models can handle a broad range of paper weight, ranging from 52gsm to 400gsm, and can handle various paper sizes, from small sizes of 98x148mm, to long banner sheets up to 330x1200mm.
Other Features
Other features include an optional Air Suction Feeder that improves paper-feeding performance for all media, including paper carrying a lot of paper dust, pre-printed paper using powder, paper with uneven texture, and coated paper that’s prone to poor feeding. Fujfiilm says stable and high-speed feeding is achieved for various paper types, from lightweight to heavyweight, to small sizes, to long banner sheets.
In-line post-processing options include document creasing, saddle-stitching, three-sided trimming and square-back finish for booklet jobs.
Other features available for the Revoria Press EC1100 include:
- The in-line sensor automates color calibration and front-to-back registration alignment.
- The press is offered with EFI Fiery EC11 and EC12 servers. The Fiery EC11 is based on the high-performance Fiery NX Premium hardware featuring Fiery HyperRIP for parallel processing and includes Fiery pre-press solutions. The Fiery EC12 is also said to be a robust Microsfot Windows-based server to meet the needs of many production print customers. Both servers include pre-flight tools, make-ready solutions, intelligent automation features, and color-management technologies.
Other features available for the Revoria Press SC180/SC170 include:
- Copy and scan functions for office use.
- Simple Image Quality Adjustment (SIQA) function, which involves scanning a calibration chart to automatically correct image quality, to streamline processes such as front-to-back registration alignment, and uneven color correction.
- The presses are offered with EFI Fiery SC11 and SC12C servers. The Fiery SC11 is a higher-performance Windows-based server with make-ready solutions included in the standard configuration, while the Fiery SC12C is a fully featured Linux-based server, with both designed for producing professional color prints.
Fujifilm says the Revoria Press EC1100 and Revoria Press SC180/SC170 are mid-range production presses that augment the company’s Revoria Press series serving various segments and needs, spanning monochrome printers, to high-end production color press.
