Fuji Xerox Issues Guidelines on Securing its MFPs
On November 8th, Fuji Xerox of Japan issued a press release stating that information recorded by its MFPs will be secure as long as appropriate security settings are configured and the MFP is connected to a secured network with a firewall.
If the MFP is connected to a network that isn’t protected by a firewall, Fuji Xerox notes that it may be accessed externally, as with other information devices. The firm advises customers to contact their sales representatives if they’re unclear about setting MFP security settings.
