Dell Introduces ‘Document Hub’ for Print to and Scan from the Cloud, New Printers and All-in-Ones

On October 1st, Dell introduced its Dell Document Hub cloud service that lets users print from and scan to several cloud-based document-sharing and storage sites, as well as four new A4 printers and MFPs: the C2665dnf color MFP, C2660dn color printer, and two mono MFPs, the B2375dnf and B2375dfw.

Dell Document Hub – or Doc Hub for short – features single sign-on for print from and scan to cloud sites from compatible Dell MFPs. Available cloud sites include Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft SkyDrive, and Microsoft SharePoint Online. With the free Document Hub app, users can also print from and scan to the cloud from their PCs and mobile devices (supports Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows RT devices). Data is send with AES256bit SSL encryption and 128-bit RC4 PDF encryption. 

The new C2665dnf Color Multifunction Printer (above; $599.99) is an A4 MFP with print, copy, scan and fax, and is rated at 28 (mono)/27 (color) ppm. It’s the first to feature “smart document capture,” enabling users to scan hard copy and then convert it into editable files with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) directly from the printer. Dell Document Hub provides simultaneous file searching across multiple clouds sites at once, and previewing of up to 10 files (with up to three pages per file shown on the touch screen). The C2665dnf is also NFC-enabled for “Tap and Print” mobile printing.

The C2665dnf incorporates a 4.3″ color touchscreen, and supports the Dell Mobile Print app (Android), AirPrint, and Google Cloud Print Direct mobile printing.
