Datamax Acquires East Texas Copy Systems
Datamax reported yesterday that it’s acquired East Texas Copy Systems, a privately owned business-technology provider headquartered in Tyler, Texas, for an undisclosed sum. The firm says that the acquisition represents an integral part of Datamax’s growth strategy to further expand and strengthen its presence in Texas and Arkansas.
Datamax provides office-imaging equipment, print management, document management, and network management, and is located in Coppell, Texas.
“Rick Fedell (Vice President) and I are beyond thrilled to share what will be the beginning of a new era at East Texas Copy Systems within the Datamax family,” East Texas Copy Systems President Greg Walker said. “Although we will have a new name and new ownership, our customers can expect business as usual. They can also anticipate an enhanced commitment and capability through the expanded resources of Datamax. In our mind, the fit between our organizations is not just a good one; it’s a perfect one.”
