Copier Careers: Average Salary for Copier Tech is $42,031
Copier Careers, a Minneapolis-based recruiting firm serving the document-imaging Industry for almost 30 years, has just published its annual Service Technician Salary Survey. This year’s survey garnered a record response from over 4,266 copier technicians across the United States.
Some of the highlights of the survey include:
- Information Technology (IT)/Managed Network Services (MNS) providers are gaining ground in the copier channel. Just a year ago, only 5 percent of copier-channel service technicians were working for IT or MNS providers. This year, that figure has doubled to 10 percent.
- The average salary for copier technicians have grown by 2.6 percent. Last year’s average of $42,031 has increased by more than a thousand dollars to $43,133.
- Continuing shortages of qualified technicians are making it difficult for dealerships to address staffing gaps in the service department.
- Satisfaction among copier technicians is on the rise, and so are opportunities for continuing training and education.
Service Technicians answered a series of questions online anonymously. Copier Careers then compares results from the prior 11 years of survey data and provides the data and insight free of charge to the industry.
