Copier Careers: Average Account Executive Comp is $88,881
Copier Careers has published its 2013 Sales Representative Salary Survey. This year’s survey reflects the responses of nearly 10,000 sales professionals who work in the copier channel. Via Copier Careers’ online survey, respondents shared information about their base pay, commissions, quotas, and more. Highlights from this year’s survey include:
- Both base pay and commission have increased for all sales job titles, with Major Account Managers earning the highest total compensation ($130,565) and Account Executives earning the lowest ($88,881).
- For both Account Executives and Named Account Managers, quotas have increased since last year in response to the success of solutions sales.
- As always, recruiting top sales reps is a challenge for copier channel employers. One way employers can attract the hungriest hunters is to offer a broader range of solutions than the competition. “If reps feel that their current employers aren’t offering a full range of solutions, then they know they’re leaving money on the table,” says Jessica Crowley, Director of Recruiting for Copier Careers. “And that’s a pretty good reason for a sales professional to make a change.”
In its survey, Copier Careers surveyed 3,688 Account Executives (37 percent), 1,909 Named Account Managers (19 percent), 1,001 Senior Account Executives (10 percent), 999 Major Account
Executives (10 percent), 388 Government Account Managers (4 percent), 149 National Account Managers (1 percent), and 1,849 MPS/Solution Sales Reps (19 percent).
