Clover Rebrands, Acquires Remanufacturing Company
Clover Imaging Solutions – now recently rebranded as Clover Environmental Solutions – just announced that it’s acquired all operating assets of America’s Remanufacturing Company (ARC) for an undisclosed sum. ARC is a returns-management and remanufacturing solutions company serving OEMs, distributors, and retailers. Clover is a U.S. provider of remanufactured toner and ink printer cartridges, managed print services, refurbished printers, and other office equipment.
Headquartered in Augusta, Georgia, ARC is said to be the only vertically integrated lifecycle management company in North America to provide end-to-end returns management solutions, including receiving and processing, remanufacturing, technical services, recycling, and reselling.
ARC is said to serve an expansive portfolio of product categories, including small home appliances, small consumer electronics, floor care, home comfort, powered hand tools, and outdoor power equipment.
George Milton, CEO of Clover Environmental Solutions, commented: “We are thrilled to complete the acquisition of ARC, which marks a pivotal moment in our diversification and growth strategy. The infrastructure, relationships, and expertise that ARC has established during its 21 years of operation, coupled with Clover’s expansive geographic footprint, advanced engineering capabilities, and financial resources, uniquely position the combined entity to go to market with true end-to-end returns management and recommerce solutions in North America.”
David Hogan, ARC CEO and president, commented: “By taking control of the entire returns, recommerce, and recycling reverse supply chain, we can assist our clients in reducing the costs associated with processing returns while also providing them with valuable information on product quality and reasons for return. No other consumer products returns and remanufacturing company in North America can provide the services of the combined Clover-ARC entity. This is a game-changer for the consumer products returns space.”
Clover Name Change
Last month, Clover announced that it rebranded as Clover Environmental Solutions to better align with the company’s expansion strategy into other sustainable lifecycle management services and solutions.
Over the past two years, Clover says it’s focused on building and strengthening its core imaging business while beginning to leverage it reverse logistics, engineering, manufacturing, and distribution infrastructure to expand into environmentally sustainable lifecycle management solutions.
The rebranding to Clover Environmental Solutions is also said to better reflect the company’s circular-economy services that are focused on environmentally friendly solutions around the recapture, reuse, and resale of goods across a variety of product categories.
Clover Environmental Solutions is comprised of three divisions – Sustainable Imaging Supplies, Fulfillment Services, and Returns Management Solutions.
Under the Sustainable Imaging Supplies Division, the company will continue to operate under its two operating entities: Clover Imaging Group, Depot International, and Latin Parts.
Phoenix Direct will operate under the Fulfillment Services Division, specializing in providing end-to-end logistics solutions including fulfillment to help brands streamline their operations.
The Returns Management Solutions Division will provide manufacturers and retailers with circular economy solutions for the recovery, refurbishment, and redistribution of business and consumer goods.
