Canon Previews New Photo and Refillable Inkjet All-in-Ones for Home, Hybrid, and Office Users

Canon Europe today previewed several new desktop color-inkjet models designed for photo printing, home offices, hybrid workers, and offices, all of which will be available later this fall.

The new additions include:

• The Pixma TS8750, a six-ink photo printer for home and family use.
• The Canon Maxify GX1050/GX2050, which are refillable ink-tank All-in-Ones for hybrid workers and home offices.
• The flagship Maxify GX5550 refillable ink-tank All-in-One for small businesses and offices.

Canon PIXMA TS8750

A six-ink photo printer, the PIXMA TS8750 features printing from smartphones, tablets, and laptops effortlessly, and is a three-in-one with print, copy, and scan. It features the Canon Print App for performing routine maintenance, and uses six Canon ChromaLife100 inks.

Key features include:

• Large, tilting 4.3” screen and customizeable Switch user interface touch interface designed to make it easier to access frequently used functions and settings.
• Support for 2.4 and 5 GHz wireless Wi-Fi bands, as well as print from mobile device using the updated Canon Print app. Set up Wi-Fi quickly by using the information already on the mobile device (Apple iOS only), or connect directly by scanning a QR code with Android and Apple iOS smartphones.
• Print at up to 15 (black)/10 (color) ppm, and print 4″x6” borderless photos in 13 seconds.
• Print on different types of media with the two-way paper-feeding system, and create disc labels with the multipurpose tray. Also features automatic two-sided printing.

Canon Maxify GX1050/Maxify GX2050

Noting that hybrid work is more common than ever, the new GX1050 is an entry-level business All-in-One within the Maxify range for both home and the office. Said to be compact in size, this refillable MegaTank printer features a 250-sheet paper feed capacity, and provides print, copy, and scan. The Maxify GX2050 provides print, copy, scan, and fax, and also adds a 35-page automatic document feeder. 

Key features for the Maxify GX1050/GX2050 include:

• Print at up to 15 (black)/10 (color) ppm, and scan directly to network folders and email.
• Space-saving design, and all operation is via the front, so that the units can be placed on a shelf or in a cabinet.
• Tilting 2.7” LCD screen, status light, and intuitive user interface. 
• Automatic two-sided printing without complicated paper reloads with a 250-sheet front-facing paper cassette. 
• Print up to 3,000 sheets from a single black ink bottle and 3,000 pages with a full set of inks.
• Prints said to be resistant to fading, water, markers and transferring.
• Wireless connectivity (compatible with 2.4 and 5 GHz networks) and Ethernet network interface, as well as printer security settings.

Canon Maxify GX5550

This color refillable-ink tank color inkjet All-in-One is geared for higher print volumes and offices. It features a 600-sheet paper capacity and 2.7” color touch screen and an LED status bar, as well as advanced security features – making it appropriate in particular for sectors such as retail, logistics, and pharmacy.

Key features include:

• Print on a wide range of paper weights, including glossy labels, envelopes, delivery slips, and more.
• A set of color ink ink bottles yields up to 14,000 pages, while the black ink bottle yields up to 6,000 pages. An Economy mode can also be used to reduce ink consumption. 
• Print at up to 24 (black)/15.5 (color) ppm. Inks are pigment-based and are said to be resistant to markers, friction, and water.
• Two 250-sheet paper cassettes, and a 100-sheet rear-feed tray.
• Improved user interface with 2.7” color LCD screen, LED status bar, and translucent paper tray that provides easy operation, whether for changing the paper types or for maintenance.
• Enhanced enterprise security with WPA3-Enterprise and TLS1.3 support.
