New Epson Expression Photo XP-970 ‘Small-in-One’ Wide-Format Printer

Epson America today introduced the Expression Photo XP-970 Small-in-One-printer ($299.99 MSRP) wide-format printer designed for printing professional-quality border-less photos up to 11″ x 17″ in size.

The new printer uses six Epson Claria Photo HD inks, and also provides flatbed scanning and copying, as well as wireless connectivity and voice-activated printing.

Epson says the Expression Photo XP-970 prints  4″ x 6″ photos as fast as 11 seconds, and the printer can print on specialty paper, CDs and DVDs.

The XP-970 includes a fold-over scan lid that holds originals in place, and offers PC-free printing with a 4.3″ touchscreen and built-in USB and memory card slots. It includes Wi-Fi Direct for router-free printing from iPhones, iPads,  and Android mobile devices, tablets and more.

Photo-enhancement tools include red-eye removal, photo restoration and adjustment. Users can edit, scan and save photos and documents to cloud-based web sites for easy access and collaboration in one single workflow.
