Epson Promotes High-Capacity Ink-Tank Inkjet Printers with ‘Start It Up!’ Campaign
Epson America has launched a national advertising campaign, “Start It Up!”, that’s designed to promote its cartridge-free ink-tank business inkjet printers and All-in-Ones, with the campaign airing during the 2018 Super Bowl, as well as throughout the 2018 Winter Olympics on NBC stations in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Seattle, and Minneapolis. The ad campaign – and the Epson printers and All-in-Ones – are focused on the small business community.
The “Start It Up!” advertisement campaign features a 30-second television commercial, as well as a series of shorter vignettes, online and radio segments, focused on Epson’s EcoTank ink-tank inkjet printers. In addition to digital and television airings on NBC station in the aforementioned markets, the “Start It Up” TV spot is part of Epson’s larger back-to-business campaign, as the company continues to focus on business inkjets for SMBs and enterprises, and which also includes radio network partners such as iHeart Radio, NPR, The Tech Guy with Leo LaPorte, The Kim Komando Show, and others.
“Epson is focused on developing technology solutions for our business customers that drive results, work efficiently and allow them to flourish and innovate,” commented Dan Murphy of Epson America’s International Marketing Communications group. “Because the Big Game and Winter Olympics reach a wide range of business professionals – ranging from the entrepreneur to the CEO of Fortune 100 companies – we feel it is the optimal medium to expand our commitment to the business community. We believe in creating real connections with our customers and are delighted to continue our partnership with NBC stations to reach small business communities far and wide.”
The commercial focuses on small business owners leveraging Epson’s cartridge-free WorkForce ET-4750 EcoTank All-in-One, “a revolutionary printer” that’s said to feature easy-to-fill, supersized ink tanks for up to two years of ink out-of-the-box (based on an average monthly print volumes of about 300 pages), an equivalent to about 30 ink cartridge sets (equivalent cartridge sets estimate based on print yields of the included black and color ink bottles as compared to Epson standard-capacity ink cartridge sets for similarly featured cartridge printers as of March 2017.)
Epson also says the WorkForce ET-4750 EcoTank also allows customers to save up to 80-percent on ink with low-cost replacement ink bottles (the savings comparison is based on the purchase cost of replacement ink bottles and the cost of enough cartridges to achieve the total page yields of the bottles using the manufacturers’ online prices and yields for the highest-capacity cartridges for best-selling, similarly featured consumer inkjet printers priced at $499 or less).
