Pantum Introduces M7200 Desktop MFPs with Separate Drum, Toner

Pantum International, which markets lower-cost printers and MFPs with metal frames for better durability, has introduced its new M7200 series of laser-based, desktop A4 monochrome MFPs. The M7200 series MFPs are said to feature minimal paper jams and a 25,000-page monthly duty cycle, as well as one-step installation, automatic duplex printing, 33-ppm print speed, 24-ppm scan speed, and a separate imaging drum and toner design; the separate toner and drum design means that when users replace toner, they’re not also discarding the imaging drum, which may still be useable.

The MFPs incorporate print, copy, scan, and fax, and the flagship model also feature  Wi-Fi wireless connectivity and NFC (Near Field Communication) tap-and-print via mobile devices. They also feature scan to USB memory devices, and a silent printing mode.

The M720FD is the base model with direct connectivity to PCs (no wireless or network connectivity). It also features:

  • 256 MB of memory.
  • 600 MHz CPU.
  • PCL 5e , PCL 6 and PostScript emulation print drivers.

Supplies consist of a separate drum and toner cartridge. Replacement supplies include:

  • Standard toner cartridge TL-410 that yields 1,500 pages.
  • High-Capacity toner cartridge that yields 3,000 pages.
  • Standard imaging drum that’s good for 6,000 pages.
  • High-capacity imaging drum that’s good for 12,000 pages.

The MF7200FDN is the same as the M7200FD but adds wired Wi-Fi connectivity.

The flagship M7200FDW features network connectivity as well as Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.
