Panasonic Says its Document Scanners Have Virtually Zero-Failure Rate

According to Panasonic and its service records, its document scanners are achieving virtual zero-failure rate. “At Panasonic, we are especially proud of our reputation for delivering rock-solid scanners,” said Joseph Odore, product manager for Panasonic System Communications Company of North America. “In fact, our scanner failure rate, based on service records from 2006 – 2015, is virtually zero. Couple that with the best-in-class image quality, industry-leading warranties, and extended service and maintenance contracts, and you can see why Panasonic is a major force in the scanner market.”

“Scanner downtime disrupts workflow, reduces employee productivity, and can negatively impact a company’s bottom line,” said Odore. “Reliability, uptime, frequent scheduled maintenance, and world-class warranty coverage have become major factors for scanner procurement managers.”

“Unlike many of our competitors, Panasonic has spent nearly 25 years developing a core competency in scanner design, component manufacturing, and quality control,” said Odore.

“Every one of our products is engineered and manufactured with a primary emphasis on recognizing, meeting, and exceeding our customers’ expectations with high value, reliability and minimal service requirements.”

Odore also noted that Panasonic has a long history of developing and adopting environmentally friendly initiatives. “Every Panasonic scanner sold worldwide has been manufactured in an ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System and RoHS-compliant manufacturing facility,” he said, adding, “Our recycling and take-back programs also ensure that products, which have reached the end of their serviceable life, are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.”
