Epson Announces 100-PPM A3 Business Inkjet Copier/MFP for BTA Channel

Epson America today announced what is likely its most ambitious A3 business inkjet copier/MFP to date – or what it call “first corporate high-speed inkjet line-head printer” – the WorkForce Enterprise WF-C20590, an A3 copier/MFP that’s designed for small and mid-size businesses, as well as corporate workgroups. Based on Epson’s PrecisionCore Line Head color-inkjet printing technology, Epson rates the new WF-C20590 at up to 100 ppm. Epson also announced the WorkForce Pro WF-C869R A3 MFP that uses the Epson Replaceable Ink Pack System,  and which Epson says provides the lowest color printing in its class.          

The Epson WorkForce Enterprise WF-C20590 will be available this summer through participating Business Technology Association (BTA) resellers. The WorkForce Pro WF-C869R will be available through authorized BTA resellers starting this spring.

According to Epson, the WF-C20590 uses 50-percent less power than color laser-based competitors, and also operates on a standard 110-volt outlet. It features a standard 2,350-page paper capacity, an optional 3,000-sheet high input capacity unit, and an optional document finisher for collating and stapling.

Its high-yield large-capacity ink cartridges yield up to 100,000 black/50,000 color ISO pages.

The WF-C20590 features the Epson Open Platform for  integration with Web-based enterprise applications such as PaperCut MF and other solutions.

Other features include:

  • Print, copy, scan, and Super G3 fax.
  • Dual‑head, single‑pass scanner simultaneously scans both sides of two‑sided documents at up to 110 images per minute (ipm).
  • 9″ color touchscreen.
  • Maximum 5,350-sheet paper capacity with options.
  • Print on up to 13″ x 19″ media via the multi-purpose tray. Four standard paper trays support up to 11″ x 17″ media.
  • Connectivity includes: SuperSpeed USB 3.0, Wireless Wi-Fi Direct, Ethernet (1000Base-T/100Base-TX/10Base-T), Near Field Connectivity (NFC).
  • Scan to PC (USB and network), cloud , email (SSL), network folders, memory cards/flash drives,  PDF; LDAP support.
  • Maximum scan size is 11.7″ x 17″. Scan to PC (USB and network), cloud ,e mail (SSL), network folders, memory cards/flash drives, PDF; LDAP support.
  • Mobile printing via Epson Email Print, Epson Remote Print, Epson iPrint App (iOS, Android), Epson Print and Scan App (Windows), Creative Print App (iOS, Android). Supports Google Cloud Print, Android printing, Fire OS printing, Mopria Print Service, Easy Photo Scan, Scan to Cloud.
  • Uses fast-drying pigment inks.

WorkForce Pro WF-C869R

Epson says its new WF-C869R features the lowest color printing costs in its class, and that, with Its Replaceable Ink Pack System, delivers up to 84,000 ISO pages before changing  ink packs is required.

The new MFP prints at up to 24 ISO ppm (black/color), and scans up to 25 ipm. There’s also printing on up to 13 “x 19” media, 1,830-sheet total paper capacity,  automatic duplex printing, and workflow integration via the Epson Open Platform.

Other features include:

  • Print, copy, scan and Super G3 fax.
  • Maximum copy size of 11.7″ x 17″.
  • Scan to PC via Document Capture Pro; to  cloud (including email);  memory devices; password-protected PDFs; address books via LDAP.
  • Connectivity includes: SuperSpeed USB (compatible with USB 3.0 specification); Wireless LAN IEEE (802.11 b/g/n); Wired Ethernet (1000 Base-T/100 Base-TX/10 Base-T) Wi-Fi Direct.
  • Mobile printing via: Epson Connect (Epson Email Print, Epson iPrint App, Epson Remote Print). Supports Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Fire OS.
  • 50-sheet automatic document feeder.
  • Print on up to 13″ x 47.2″ media (user-assisted via bypass tray); other paper sources accept up to 11″ x 17″.
