New Xerox DocuMate 3125 Features Faster Scan Speeds, Improved Solutions Compatibility

Xerox reports that it’s added several upgrades to its new desktop DocuMate 3125 document scanner ($495 SRP), including faster scan speed versus its predecessor – up to 40 ppm (simplex) and 70 images per minute (duplex). There’s also a 50-page automatic document feeder, and users can securely save scanned documents to a PC desktop or send them directly to the Web-based storage sites with just one click.

Other features include: scan documents up to letter-size, including plastic cards; Ultrasonic Double Feed Detection Sensor; straight paper path for easy plastic-card scanning through the automatic document feeder; and scan ID and business cards up to 0.8 mm thickness.

“As digital transformation continues to impact every industry, it’s becoming more important for businesses to find solutions to digitize documents as they come into an office’s workflow,” said Walt Thinfen, president and CEO at Visioneer, which makes and markets Xerox DocuMate scanners. “The reliable and easy-to-use DocuMate 3125 scanner is equipped to help organizations transform, manage and secure business-critical information.”

Advanced certified TWAIN and ISIS drivers are compatible with PC and Apple Mac, and allow users to communicate with hundreds of enterprise content management (ECM) and document image-management (DIM) software solutions to improve document management. The device can also be integrated with a business’s current technology infrastructure, and intelligently corrects image quality.

The Xerox DocuMate 3125 scanner is immediately available for purchase online at and from authorized resellers in the Americas and Europe.
