Samsung Bringing ‘Dash’ Automatic Printer-Toner Replacement to U.K. and Germany
Samsung Printing Solutions reports today that its German and U.K. customers will now be able to automatically reorder their print supplies through the Amazon Dash Replenishment program. With the Dash program, when compatible Internet-connected Samsung printers and MFPs detect low toner levels, they send notifications to Samsung Cloud Print that are then relayed to Amazon for purchase replacements. The cartridges are automatically shipped to the customer and the customer is billed for the cartridges.
Customers, including small- and mid size businesses, using MFPs and other Samsung Printing Solutions devices can sign up for Dash Replenishment through Samsung’s Mobile Print app.
The Mobile Print app provides wireless-printing capabilities directly from a mobile device or via Samsung’s Easy Printer Manager app, which lets users monitor their printers’ toner levels in real-time.
Dash Replenishment will be available for various Samsung home-office printers, as well as MFPs including the SL-C430W, SL-C480FW, SL-M2835DW, and SL-M2885FW.
“Initially this service was available to our U.S. customers. We are pleased to announce today that Dash Replenishment options are now available to our customers in Germany and the U.K. as well,” said David SW Song, senior vice president of Samsung’s Printing Solutions Business. “This expansion will help provide efficiency and improved printing conditions for more consumers in more regions around the world.”
