Did the Latest Windows 10 Update Break Your Brother Printer?
We certainly hope not and wonder whether other printer brands will be affected. We received the following email message this morning:
“After updating your Windows 10 PC through the Windows update, you may no longer be able to print or scan using the USB/Network connection. To resolve this issue, you will need to uninstall the existing Brother software and then reinstall it.”
If you are unlucky enough to be affected, the process involves:
- From the Brother Utilities/Tools, click Uninstall.
- Verify the uninstall request.
- Reboot the computer.
- Download and reinstall the Brother Full Driver and Software Package.
What a PITA.
