Konica Minolta to Acquire Two Dealers in France; Says it Will Focus on Direct Sales in France and ‘Beyond’
Konica Minolta, Inc. of Tokyo reports that Konica Minolta Business Solutions France S.A.S. will acquire two French copier/MFP sales companies, Dactyl Buro du Centre, which is based in Bourges, and OMR Impressions, which is based in Saint-Sebastian-Sur-Loire, for undisclosed sums. Both companies are currently held by their holding company, Finance et Conseil du Centre. Once Konica Minolta completes the acquisitions, which are subject to the approval of the French Competition Authority, the two companies will operate as wholly owned subsidiaries of Konica Minolta Business Solutions France.
The firm says both Dactyl Buro and OMR are “major MFP sales companies” and have built “solid positions” in the market. In 2010, the two companies jointly invested in establishing Finance et Conseil du Centre as their holding company in order to share administrative and back-office operations, and drive combined purchases.
Ahead of the final year of its medium-term business plan Transform 2016, Konica Minolta, Inc. says it will strengthen its direct-sales structure in “France and beyond,” and build up a direct-sales network covering all major cities in France. This it is says will enable it not only to enhance its MFP-sales capabilities, but also strengthen its offerings in the digital-print system and IT-services fields markets, noting that it expects major growth in these markets in France.
