Toshiba to Merge its MFP and Barcode Divisions in Europe
November 24, 2014 – Toshiba Tec reports that it’ll be merging its MFP division with its barcode printing division (BCP) in Europe. The firm says the integration of the two Toshiba Tec printing divisions has “in one stroke created the most innovative and comprehensive Printing Solutions Business in the world that now enables customers to drive profitable growth through a unique blend of choice and flexibility.”
With a global set of manufacturing facilities, the enhanced Toshiba Tec Printing Solutions Division will now offer “the most diverse business portfolio in the industry.”
Toshiba TEC’s Toshifumi Matsumoto, deputy managing director of Global Solutions Business Group for Toshiba Tec commented, “The new MFP and BCP combination present a significant opportunity to jointly bring our hardware and software products, services and customer support to the next level. The business models of our customers are being reshaped in light of the ongoing digital transformation and growing demand for ecological solutions. The combined MFP-BCP portfolio will bring:

Driven by its newly global branding program, Together Information, the firm says its Toshiba Tec’s Printing Solution Business will tap into the expertise of other Toshiba Group companies operating in these industry sectors. Toshiba TEC expects the merger to be completed by March 31, 2015.
