New Solutions from Xerox Support Paper-Less Document Processes; Also Now Offering Hyland OnBase and Datawatch Solutions
Xerox is introducing several new offerings designed to make implementing paperless business-document processes easier: Digital Alternatives Tool, ePublishing Services, and Print Awareness Tool, as well as two solutions from partners Hyland Software and Datawatch.
Xerox’s Digital Alternatives is software for both Microsoft Windows-based PCs and Apple iPad tablets running iOS 8. It helps automate paper-based workflows that exist within many large organization. With this solution, at their Windows PC or iOS 8 tablet, users can sign, annotate, share, save, and read documents from a single interface. There’s no need to print documents, convert files, or toggle between different programs and digital versions, saving time. The solution also automatically synchronizes documents on most personal devices for use by mobile employees. It also supports Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) with Active Directory user authentication to keep documents secure.
With Xerox Digital Alternatives, users can:
- Read Later: Save any file type to a single location for reading it later.
- Complete Form: Complete forms with automatic desktop guidance.
- Annotate: Highlight, circle, sketch, type, and sign documents. All changes are automatically saved and synchronized across the user’s devices.
- Share: Share a document with selected employees.

Xerox ePublishing Services
Xerox’s new ePublishing Services provides a common document-processing workflow.
The service provides a digital file output that’s compatible with smartphones, tablets, eReaders, and computer displays. Documents can be published in PDF file format, or, for more interactive engagements, in HTML5 or ePublication formats for including hyperlinks and rich media content.
Built-in analytic tools measure and collect data, such as clicks and the average time of users’ visits, thus providing feedback for developing future content. For more information on Xerox ePublishing Services, visit Xerox here.
