New Brother Business Smart Inkjet All-in-One with 11"x17" Printing and $169.99 Street Price

Brother International is introducing new Business Smart color inkjet All-in-Ones that it says feature lower price points, faster print speeds, and improved color touch screen. Designed for small and home offices, the new Business Smart printers start at $169.99 and are rated up to 20 (black)/18 (color) ppm. Brother also introduced a new inkjet All-in-One with NFC “touch to print” mobile printing (see below).

The newMFC-J4420DW (20 [black]/18 [color] ppm) features a new 2.7″ color touch screen, and Brother says it’s introducing it at a lower price point than previously released, comparable Business Smart All-in-ones at $169.99 (estimated street price). The MFC-J4420DW also prints on up to 11” x 17” media via a rear-mounted single-sheet bypass tray, and can use Super High-yield ink cartridges that print approximately 1,200 black and 1,200 color pages.

Brother has also included mobile print and scan for Apple iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, and Windows Phone mobile devices. Users can connect and print to and scan from the MFC-J4420DW via AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, the free Brother iPrint&Scan app, Wi-Fi Direct, and Cortado Workplace.

The MFC-J4420DW incorporates Brother’s Landscape Print Technology, so that the All-in-One stores and feeds paper in a landscape orientation in order to minimize its overall footprint. There’s also a 150-sheet paper tray  for paper up to 8.5″ x 11″ in size; 20-sheet Automatic Document Feeder; and automatic duplex (two-sided) printing

The 2.7” color touch screen Display with Brother Web Connect lets users scan to cloud-based document storage sites such as Dropbox, Google Drive,, OneDrive, and more, while free Brother Cloud Apps let users capture and convert documents directly from the printer. Standard connectivity consists of wireless 802.11b/g/n connectivity, and a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface. A two-year warranty is standard.

Brother is also be introducing the MFC-J4620DW, which adds NFC “touch to connect” printing and scanning, as well as a 3.7” color touch screen, and will have an estimated street price of $179.99. There’s also the MFC-J4320DW ($149.99 estimated street price) , which is the same as the MFC-J4420DW, but doesn’t have an automatic document feeder.
