SureColor_TSeries_BannerEpson America today introduced its next-generation family of large-format color printers, the Epson SureColor T3270, T5270, T7270, T5270D, and T7270D. Available in both single- and now dual-roll models, the SureColor T-Series features the Epson’s PrecisionCore TFP inkjet print head and Epson UltraChrome XD pigment ink, and are designed for technical, corporate, and marketing, for printing CAD drawings, GIS maps, corporate graphics, retail posters, etc.

Resolution is up to 2,880 x 1,440 dpi, and the systems can produce a presentation-quality D-size plot in as little as 25 seconds. I am planning to buy a epson malfunction surecolour T5270 .I am having a small printing setup which deals with printing mostly in black &white and copying question is if i print a A0 print in colour in photo paper what would be my ink many A0 full colour print can be done with 110 ml ink set .please help

    • Unfortunately, supply yields cannot be accurately extrapolated. However, you can make rough calculations based on the supply yields claims from the manufacturer. The yields are determined using the The ISO/IEC 24711 test method based on A4 originals with ~1″ page margins and contain 5% area coverage each. So, you can extrapolate by dividing the claimed 5% ink yield for each color by 20 and dividing it by the square inches/mm of original coverage (excluding margins). Then, multiple this figure times the square inches/mm of your intended image size. Finally, you divide the cartridge price by your extrapolated yield in order to determine approximate cost per page/color. You must do this for all four colors and note that it is only a rough estimate.

Thanks terry your answers were very helpful .I have another query regarding sure colour 5270 mfp .scanner . the scanner box price tag includes everything like 320 gb hard disk and scanner stand.I already bought the printer and scanner but the distributors/re sellers charging extra for the 320 gb hard disk and scanner stand.I have a feeling that they charging wrongfully .already ready to forward the issue legally .They already charged over the price(maximum retail price ) tag in the scanner box .plus they charging for hard disk and scanner stand separately .already emailed few people in epson(India) with no response . . I am not using the scanner for last 6 month or so unless this problems settles.there are other issues too like non co-operation to get inks ,no discount given etc.please help or let me know the appropriate authorities to contact .

        • It seems that you have been swindled by a unscrupulous vendor and if it is an authorized dealer, Epson should be ashamed and take care of your issues. Note that if it not an authorized dealer, Epson will probably not assist you as they have no legal recourse.

If you have already contacted Epson India via email, your only remaining solution is to call and nag them. The contact information can be found here. Note that since dealers can set their own prices, your main points of argument should be that you were charged for in-box items and the dealer was unresponsive. Otherwise, you can order ink online elsewhere and you should tell the dealer that you are doing so since it is a lucrative source of after-sale revenue.

We wish you a happy new year and the best of luck in resolving your issues.
