Konica Minolta Acquires Florida Dealership
Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. reports that it’s acquired Copytronics Information Systems, a business-solutions dealership headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, in an effort to further increase Konica Minolta’s reach in Florida.
Copytronics will continue to retain its current Florida locations in Jacksonville, Rockledge, Ocala, Daytona Beach, and Winter Park, as well as its more than 85 sales, service and administrative staff. As a Konica Minolta company, Copytronics will continue to provide customers with document-management solutions, managed print services (MPS), hardware, and services. As part of the acquisition agreement, Copytronics’ executive management will report directly to Tim Marshall, president of CopySource, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Konica Minolta. The South Florida-based company was acquired by Konica Minolta in December 2013.

Copytronics is a member of “The First Coast Fifty,” a list of the top, privately held companies on the first coast of Florida. Begun in June of 1972 by entrepreneur Paul Shields, the company currently serves well over 10,000 customers with a wide range of black-and white and color MFP office equipment and document-management solutions. Copytronics became a Konica Minolta dealer partner in the late 1970s and the company has had a close relationship with Konica Minolta ever since. Other technology partners include Equitrac, eCopy, ObjectifLune, Sentryfile, and DocuWare.
