Takahiro Sato is New President of KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe
KYOCERA Document Solutions reports a change of management in its European headquarters. Beginning April 2014, Takahiro Sato, who has worked in various capacities across the Kyocera Group, will take on the role of president of KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe, bringing 18 years of experience. Sato succeeds Yoshiaki Onishi, who has held the position for the last three years and who now returns to Japan to become general manager of the corporate planning department.
KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe says it has enjoyed significant growth, averaging 7.1 percent year-over-year growth for the last five years, and outgrowing the market in 2013, citing research from IDC’s EMEA Quarterly IDC Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker, Q4 2013. With a structured strategy, the firm says it will continue to evolve into a solutions company that offers a streamlined approach combining hardware, software, and services.
Takahiro Sato joined Japanese company Mita in March 1996, working in export sales before moving to Kyocera Mita Europe in January 2000 as manager of the CIS department focusing on Russia. During this time he completed an executive MBA at the Rotterdam School of Management, was promoted to the position of corporate strategy manager for Kyocera Mita France SAS, and subsequently to general manager. He directed his efforts to building a robust internal structure and distribution network that has resulted in growth and profitability. Sato received an invitation to become an “Inamori Fellow,” a program organized by the Inamori Foundation and open to a select group of business leaders.
Sato commented, “I am delighted to take on this new opportunity and hope my leadership qualities and management style will give Europe the drive that is needed in this exciting time for KYOCERA. We are built on strong partnerships and they remain the key to our future success. As we accelerate our transformation, building further solutions which integrate document input, archiving, optimization and output, the success of our partners will remain the focus of our development. The market is evolving very quickly with advances in mobile devices and KYOCERA Europe embraces the challenge.”
