Konica Minolta Will be Largest Exhibitor at Ipex Commercial- and Production-Printing Trade Show

ipexKonica Minolta Business Solutions will be the largest exhibitor – with a 1,200 square-meter booth – at the upcoming Ipex 2014 commercial- and production-printing trade show being held March 24 – 29th at the London ExCeL center in the United Kingdom.  Konica Minolta’s strong support for Ipex comes as good news for the trade show – last year, Ricoh announced it would not exhibit at the show, as did Canon, Heidelberg, and Xerox.

Konica Minolta says its commitment to Ipex is “proof of its vision to provide an easy path to digital,” as its main focus will be to underline its goal to become the preferred supplier for printers converting from offset to digital printing, and to promote an end-to-end view of the print process. At the show, the firm will present customer testimonials and other presentations  to show how it’s been successful in production printing, as it says it’s significantly increased its customer base over the last decade to become a market leader in cut-sheet printing in the small and mid-size production-printing market.

The firm will also be demonstrating areas such as workflow, variable data printing, web-to-print, and color management, as well as marketing and cross-media applications.

In a new “green” initiative, it will also unveil a certified Konica Minolta Production Printing Carbon Compensation project under which customers buying systems at the show will be compensated for CO2 emission. Konica Minolta’s own stand, including the systems on display, will also be carbon neutral.  Printing systems on display will include commercial production, packaging, wide-format, document-printing, corporate, on-demand publishing, direct-mail, labels, and photo-printing systems. Among the highlights will be Konica Minolta’s KM-1 B2 cut-sheet inkjet press, as well as the bizhub PRO and PRESS C1060 and C1070 systems, plus the bizhub PRESS 2250P mono system. Other attractions include a workflow-automation area and other partner pre-press and post-press solutions.

Olaf Lorenz, General Manager, International Marketing Division, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, said: “Ipex will be a perfect platform for us to showcase our business offerings across all platforms, as we are now far more than just a print provider. We are helping customers to optimize their revenues through enabling new business by creating value and long-term relationships.”

Central to Konica Minolta’s support initiatives as a solutions and services provider will be its Digital1234 business-building programme, which provides added-value for customers through saving money, increasing productivity, adding new services and generating increased profitability.

Lorenz added: “Digital printing opens up a host of new opportunities. Through our own software development and by working with carefully selected partners, we have a world-leading position in applications growing in prominence such as workflow automation, web-to-print, variable data printing and cross media.  With our tools we also serve current trends like cloud computing and security.”
