Canon Adds Two New Wireless Color Inkjet PIXMA All-in-Ones, 13"x19" PIXMA Photo Printer, Support AirPrint

Canon U.S.A. is extending its lineup of PIXMA color inkjet All-in-Ones and printers with four new introductions – the PIXMA MX532 Wireless Office All-In-One, PIXMA MX472 Wireless Office All-In-One, PIXMA iX6820 Wireless Inkjet Business Printer, and PIXMA iP8720 Wireless Inkjet Photo models, all designed for personal and home-office users.

In an update, Canon also reported that all four of the new models also support AirPrint mobile printing. AirPrint allows users to print photos, email messages, Web pages, documents, and more from an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, without the need to download software, connect the mobile device to the printer, or install additional device drivers.

PIXMA MX532 Wireless Office All-In-One Printer

With cloud-based PIXMA Printing Solutions (PPS) application capabilities and the PIXMA MX532 Wireless Office All-In-One Printer (right), users can access popular online services such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Dropbox, Picasa Web Albums, Evernote, Photobucket and Canon iMAGE GATEWAY from the All-in-One’s touch screen. The PPS app allows users to wirelessly print multiple document formats including Word, Excel, JPEG, and PDF files from a compatible wireless-capable mobile device or tablet from almost anywhere. The mobile app also provides convenient access to the printer’s user interface to check ink model number information, online printer user manuals, and other important printer information. The PIXMA MX532 also features both automatic duplex printing and FastFront loading functionality so users can change paper and ink cartridges without having to stand the printer lid upright. Other features include Quiet Mode, and a front paper tray that holds up to 100 sheets for large-volume jobs. The PIXMA MX532 has an estimated retail price of $149.99.

PIXMA MX472 Wireless Office All-In-One Printer

The PIXMA MX472 Wireless Office All-In-One Printer also features wireless connectivity, four-color ink system along with FastFront loading, Quiet Mode, and an automatic document feeder (ADF). The PIXMA MX472 has an estimated retail price of $99.99.

PIXMA iX6820 Wireless Inkjet Business Printer

The  PIXMA iX6820 Wireless Inkjet Business Printer is designed as an office solution for users looking to print and produce materials that are a combination of text and graphics. It uses five individual ink tanks – Canon says it’s great for business projects requiring graphic detail in color and black-and-white. To further improve upon its black text printing capabilities, the iX6820 utilizes optional high-yield black cartridges for larger print jobs. The printer also offers a Solution Template for producing projects such as posters, fliers, menus, and more for clients or other business ventures. There’s also the low noise-level Quiet Mode. The PIXMA iX6820 printer has an estimated retail price of $199.99.

PIXMA iP8720 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer

The new PIXMA iP8720 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer features six individual ink tanks for producing more vivid colors and a wider color gradient, and can produce images up to 13″x19″. Resolution is 9600 x 2400 dpi. The PIXMA iP8720 printer has an estimated retail price of $299.99.

All three of the new devices feature Canon tools such as My Image Garden software, which can help make organizing and printing photo projects easier than before using Face Recognition technology, Special Filters, Calendar Organization, and Automatic Layout Suggestions. Also available with these printers is Creative Park Premium, which allows users to access photos and illustrations, such as greeting card cover art and calendar images, and apply them to their own designs. The printers also feature Full HD Movie Print, which can be utilized to capture and print photos from HD movie clips shot with compatible Canon EOS Digital SLR cameras, PowerShot cameras and VIXIA camcorders.
