smart operation panelRicoh Americas today introduced three new “smart MFPs” for small offices and workgroups, the monochrome A3 MP 2553, MP 3053, and MP 3353, which print on media sizes up to 11″ x 17″ at print speeds of 25, 30 and 33 ppm.

Incorporating print, copy, and scan, the MP 2553, MP 3053, and MP 3353 incorporates Ricoh’s Integrated Cloud Environment (ICE), platform with optional connectors that support a growing list of over a dozen popular third-party cloud services, enabling users to print from and scan to cloud-based document repositories, as well as access these cloud sites from mobile devices.

For more mobile printing, the new MFPs offer smartphone and tablet-based printing through optional Ricoh HotSpot Enterprise software or Ricoh’s SmartDevicePrint app.

For users who like the feel of a tablet, the MFPs can be equipped with an optional Smart Operation Panel (above) that employs a customizable 10″ diagonal touchscreen. Smart Operation Panel provides intuitive icons and is operated with tablet-like tapping, pinching, and flicking. Users can also toggle to the traditional interface whenever they like.

The MP 2553, MP 3053, and MP 3353 also support optional optical character recognition (OCR), which turns scanned documents into editable, searchable documents in up to 14 languages. Customers may add optional internal document-finishing without significantly expanding the compact 23″ x  26″ x 33″ footprint.
