On November 27th, Canon U.K. announced its first European partners to receive its European Managed Print Services (MPS) accreditation. The new MPS partners consist of: Systems Technology, Vision, Azzurri Communications, Bryan S Ryan, Condor Office Solutions, DMC Business Machines, Apogee Corporation, Alternative, M2, and IT@Spectrum.

Canon says these resellers, all from the United Kingdom and Ireland, have demonstrated their commitment and ability to reduce customers’ printing costs, improve productivity, enhance document security and increase sustainability through the delivery of MPS.

Canon says the accreditation illustrates its commitment to its partners via its partner program. The resellers all were subjected to an audit process before receiving MPS accreditation. The audit process consisted of evaluating the resellers on three key criteria:

  • Service delivery and people – Demonstrating partners’ ability to meet customer requirements and follow recognized service-delivery standards and methods.
  • Infrastructure and technology – To recognize that partners can clearly describe and document the services that they deliver to customers and the processes that they follow, as well as having a suite of tools in place to properly manage print on behalf of their customers.

  • Business model and customer experience – To ensure that the right business metrics and objectives are in place within the business to ensure on-going investment and development to meet customer requirements, and that there is a way to validate customer’s experience of the managed services delivered by the partner.
