Xerox Acquires Virginia-Based Managed Services Company; Will Report 2nd-Quarter Earnings

Xerox’s Global Imaging Systems has acquired Miller Technology Solutions, Inc., a Virginia-based managed services company specializing in financial IT services.

The acquisition is part of Xerox’s strategy to bring managed services to small and mid-size business customers—Xerox says the acquisition will further Global Imaging’s strategy of creating a nationwide network of locally based providers focused on improving document workflow and office efficiency for small and mid-size businesses. Earlier this year, Global Imaging Systems acquired Midwest Business Solutions Inc. and Premier Office Equipment, both located in Iowa, with operations in Illinois and Florida.

Established in 2002 by Eric Miller, Miller Technology Solutions is located in Chesapeake, VA, and provides expertise in financial IT services including project management consulting, systems integrity evaluations, and network management. Miller will remain with the company as director of managed services, and  Miller Technology Solutions will become part of Electronic Systems, Inc. (ESI), a Global Imaging Systems company headquartered in Virginia Beach.
