Xerox is expanding its WorkCentre 7500 A3 color MFP series first introduced last fall with four new additions, the WorkCentre 7525/7530/7535, which print at up to 35 (black/color) ppm and start at $11,998.  Xerox has also added help and support from the touch screen to all members of the 7500 family.

The new color MFPs are equipped with the same document management and workflow tools as the previous WorkCentre 7500 units, including 12”x18” media handling, network print, copy, scan and fax, and include the new  Online Support tool. With Online Support, searchable help is provided by the touch screen (below), so that from the touch screen, users can access help on error codes, codes, print quality, media jams and software installation, as well as print documentation.

 Specifications are as follows:

  • The WorkCentre 7525 is rated at 25/25 ppm and has a maximum monthly volume of 75,000 pages, while the WorkCentre 7530 is rated at 30/30 ppm, and has a maximum monthly volume of 90,000 pages.  The WorkCentre 7534 is rated at 35/35 ppm and has a maximum monthly volume of 110,000 pages.
  • Standard network print, copy, network scan, scan to e-mail, and optional Super Group 3 fax.
  • 1.5 GHz CPU; 2 GB memory plus 1 GB page memory; 10/100/1000BaseT Ethernet network interface; wireless Ethernet 802.11b via third-party adapter; 160-GB hard drive. Compatible with Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh, and Linux.
  • Walk-up fax is available with one- or two-line option. LAN fax, and forward received faxes to e-mail addresses and network folders.
  • Print on up to 12.6”x19” media, and on paper weights up to 300 gsm.
  • USB port on front panel for print from/scan to USB memory devices.
  • Xerox Extensible Interface Platform (EIP) open-development platform for creating customized workflows, for instance, for streamlining scan-and-distribute document processes.
  • Scan to network, e-mail, folder, SMB, FTP; create text-searchable PDFs. Optional Nuance eCopy ShareScan 5.0 document document-scanning and workflow solution, as well as optional Xerox Scan to PC Desktop, SMARTsend and SmartDocument Travel, as well as third-party document-scanning solutions. OCR software included.
  • 1,200 x 2,400 dpi resolution.
  • Standard 620-sheet paper capacity expandable to 5,140 sheets.
  • 110-sheet Duplexing Automatic Document Feeder.
  • Document-finishing options for hole punching, multi-position stapling, saddle-stitching, booklet-making, and folding.
  • Optional Electronics for Imaging (EFI) Fiery print server.
  • 26,000-page black toner cartridge; each CYM color toner cartridge yields up to 15,000 pages. Systems use EA Ultra Low-Melt, which fuses to media at a lower temperature, reducing energy consumption. SMart Kit, so that users can replace components without having to contact service.
  • Adobe PostScript 3, PCL and XPS print drivers, as well as Xerox Global Print Driver and Xerox Mobile Express Driver.
  • Color By Words color-correction utility lets users select color modifications from a simple drop-down list, and is available in several languages.
  • CentreWare Web for management of the system and third-party devices on the network.
  • Security with user authentication, secure print, create password-encrypted PDFs for e-mail and fax, hard-drive overwrite and encryption, ID cards, Xerox Secure Access Unified ID System, etc. Limit color usage.
  • Scanner uses LED lighting for one-third the power consumption of traditional Xenon lamps.
  • Qualified with Energy Star, RoHS, Blue Angel and ECO label standards.
  • Xerox and third-party software solutions for cost-accounting, streamlining workflows, and for document management and distribution.

Xerox will be distributing in North America via direct sales, authorized sales agents and Global Imaging Systems.
